There are so many advantages to being a member of the Indian Expat Society. We’ve outlined the main benefits here:

  1. the IES website portal where you can interact with other members and meet like-minded people, keep up with Dutch and international daily news, read all about housing and job search facilities, and much, much more;
  2. advisory and facilitating services, such as legal help, and mortgage and insurance facilitation;

  4. your society’s active interaction with Dutch authorities to help facilitate on key issues, such as creating smoother Immigration and Naturalization procedures and more benefits for knowledge migrants.
Demographics

The Netherlands has a total population of approximately 17 million. Out of these 17 million, approximately 200,000 are Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) – that is Surinamese Hindustanis, – and approximately 20,000 Non-Resident Indians (NRI’s). Between 3,000 and 5,000 can be added to this number in illegal immigrants.

In recent years an additional new wave of Indian immigrants, consisting of highly qualified professionals and entrepreneurs, have come to the Netherlands to offer their knowledge and expertise to the Dutch business community. There are approximately 5000 of these “knowledge migrants” living in the Netherlands, also known as Indian Expats.
